Nancy Sue Knight of Seguin, Texas peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the age of 81. She was born to George Everett Stoner and Helen Brimm Stoner on November 8, 1938 in Anna, Illinois.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Stoner; husband, Cecil David Knight; brothers, Bob and Bill Stoner and sister, Pauline Ridinger.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl Anderson, Ronald Arthur Golding Jr., Crystal Zuniga and husband Thomas; step-children, Gary Knight, Rick Knight, and Rhonda Knight; grandchildren, Jade Anderson, Meagan Reichrath, JT Zuniga, Joey Ornales, Desiree Zuniga, Chase Zuniga; great-grandchildren, Braeden Farmer and Jay Reichrath. Nancy is further survived by numerous step-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Nancy was raised in Anna, IL. She and her husband Dave ran Stoners Cafe in Anna for many years before moving to Seguin in 1981. She worked for Walmart for over 30 years and made many friends along the way. Nancy loved being "Nana" to all of her grandchildren more than anything. She spent the last few years watching every series possible on Netflix and loved to collect frogs.
Serving as pallbearers will be JT Zuniga, Joey Ornales, Chase Zuniga, Joseph Vela Jr., Tyson Coleman and Cole Taylor.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Palmer Mortuary from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Palmer Mortuary and interment will be on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in Committal Shelter #1, anyone wishing to join the family at Fort Sam is asked to meet at the cemetery as there will not be a funeral procession from the funeral home.
