Paul Carpenter Jr.

Paul Allen Carpenter Jr. “Scooter”, of Seguin, Texas passed away on May 24, 2021 at the age of 49. He was born to Gloria (Flores) and Paul Allen Carpenter, Sr on April 12, 1972, in San Antonio, Texas.

Paul was a father, son, friend, grandpa, brother, uncle, and musician by choice. His happiest times were being surrounded by his family or beating on the drums.  He took particular joy in the little ones, he recognized that he didn’t enjoy the kids as much as he did the grandchildren, and he was regretful of that.  He knew that he was very well loved and loved us all very deeply. He was full of laughter, it was loud and contagious, he just loved to laugh.  He passed peacefully in his sleep, which was exactly how he wanted to go. He will be dearly missed by his family.

Paul is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Carpenter, grandparents, Howard and Phyllis Carpenter, sister, Juanita Carpenter and his uncle, Leroy Flores.

He will be lovingly remembered by his father, Paul Allen Carpenter, Sr. and stepmother, Barbara Carpenter; his children, Paul Carpenter III, Sara Martinez, Kaitlynne Martinez, and Phoenix Martinez; grandchildren, Mikey, Jonah, Noah, Zildjian and Malachi; sister, Tawny Freel; brother, Kris Carpenter; best friend and personal ray of sunshine, Kat Martinez and his beloved friends, Jennifer Martinez, and Joanie Hill. Paul is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

A memorial gathering in honor of Paul will be on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Palmer Mortuary from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be at 7:00 p.m.
