Regina Valdez

May 18, 1945 — September 25, 2021

Regina D. Valdez was called home to be with Our Lord and she gained her Angel wings on September 25, 2021, at the age of 76. She was born to Refugia and Julian De Holloz on May 18, 1945, in Rosebud, Texas.

Regina was married to Pedro Valdez Jr. for 51 years. They were blessed with 9 children: Sandra M. Valdez, Robert Valdez, Rene Valdez, Ricky Valdez, Cynthia Valdez Leal, Michael M. Valdez, Olivia Valdez, Ronny Valdez and Ina Valdez; 26 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Our mother enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved making her tortillas, cooking, BBQ’s, camping, family gatherings and most of all dancing and listening to music. She loved to be outside watering her flowers, plants, and grass. She lived life to the fullest. She had a heart of Gold and was one of a kind. She had a big heart and cared and loved all of her family. Her presence, smile, hugs, and kisses will be greatly missed by everyone who loved and knew her well.

She is preceded in death by her husband Pedro Valdez Jr., Her mother and father, Refugia and Julian De Holloz; her son, Michael M. Valdez; sister, Chavela Ayala; brother, Julian De Holloz and sister-in-law, Inez Medrano.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Manuela Vargas; sons and daughters, Sandra M. Valdez, Robert Valdez and wife Carmen, Rene Valdez, Ricky Valdez and wife Rosalinda, Cynthia V. Leal, and husband Rene Leal, Olivia Valdez and husband, Ronny Valdez and, Ina Valdez; 26 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Palmer Mortuary on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Jimmy Morales will start at 12:00 p.m. Concluding the services in the chapel a funeral procession will depart to St. James Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jason Valdez, Justin Valdez, Michael Ray Valdez, Jacobi Savage, Gabriel Estrada, and Raul Perez.

Due to precautions surrounding COVID19, the family will not be having a reception after services.

The family asks that all guests wear a face covering when inside of the funeral home at all times.
