Rose Salinas

Rose Salinas, 68, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Sister was called to her eternal resting place on Saturday, December 18, 2021. She entered this world on December 9, 1953, in Seguin, Texas, to Julian and Natividad Gomez.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Natividad Gomez, her husband Ciriaco Salinas Jr. and her brother Martin Gomez.

She is survived by her daughters Monica Salinas-Sanchez, husband Steven and Melissa Salinas, partner Dewayne Smith, and her son Cisco James Salinas, also her grandchildren Anthony Cisneros, Stevan Cisneros, and LeAnn Lomas, and her best friend Juan Castillo and their dog Rango. Also her sister Mary Ellen Garcia, husband Antonio, her sister in law Isabel Gomez and her brothers, Julian Gomez, wife Elena, Ruben Gomez, wife Debbi, Mario Gomez, wife Mary, Jesse Gomez, wife Noreen, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her.

She spent her entire childhood in Seguin developing friendships that would last throughout her entire lifetime. She loved working for her community, Rose was part of the Amputee support group, she was the vice president of the local LULAC council 682, and also a voice and helper for Pancho Claus in Seguin. Rosemary was a vibrant woman full of life, strong willed, loving and a kindness she'd share with anyone, a smile for all.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary Chapel.

A Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.

After the conclusion of the service, the family would like to gather at Knights of Columbus Hall in Seguin for some food and refreshments to celebrate the life of Rosemary, and to share the wonderful memories she has given her loved ones.
