Umberto Jimenez Jr.

Umberto Jimenez Jr. entered eternal rest on April 8, 2021 at the age of 69. He was born on May 20, 1951 to Umberto and Eulalia (Ontiveros) Jimenez in McQueeney, Texas.

He is preceded in death by both his mother and father; son, Rene Jimenez; grandson, Joshua Castejella; great-grandson, Johnny Angel Casanova and his brothers, Mario Jimenez, and Rene Jimenez.

Left to cherish his memory is his spouse of 40 years, Yolanda Garcia; children, Daniel Garcia and wife Gracie, Diana Cowey, Dan Garcia and wife Rachel, Dahlia Delacruz and husband Johnny, David Garcia and wife Irene, Dolores Stewart and husband Coy, Beatrice Crosby and husband Tim and Julie Garcia, Ruberto Jimenez and wife Elisa of Floydada, Texas, Pete Jimenez and Lina of Floydada, Texas, Nancy Jimenez and Edward Castillo of Hale Center, Texas, Esmeralda Jimenez and Alfred Nunez of Lockney, Texas and Oscar Perez and wife Monica of Lubbock, Texas; 42 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, 2-great-great-grandchildren; his brothers, Ricky Jimenez, Roy Jimenez and Ray Jimenez as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. At Palmer Mortuary. A continued visitation will be on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 with a Prayer Service beginning at 12:00 p.m. All services will conclude in the Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday afternoon and Umberto’s wishes of cremation will be fulfilled.

All guests attending services at the funeral home and the church are required to wear a face covering upon entering and inside the chapels at all times and adhere to social distancing.
