Walter Ennis Jr.

​Walter Doyle Ennis Jr. of Seguin, Texas peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at the age of 80. He was born to Walter Doyle Ennis Sr. and Nadine Durst Ennis in Gonzales, Texas.

Walter is preceded in death by his mother and father; his wife, Beulah M. Ennis and his brother Gerald Wayne Ennis.

He is survived by his children, Edward Ennis, Larry Ennis, and Tami George; his siblings; Carolyn Boyer and Margie Shumake; grandchildren, Blake Ennis, Eric Ennis, Kelly Ennis, Christina Tylee, Jordan Ennis, Levi Ennis, Misty Frye, Caleb George, Gabrielle Kral; great-grandchildren, Josie Smith, Jonas Smith Johnny Smith, Ashlyn Ennis, and Nicole LaCombe, and a host of other family and friends.

Walter was a great father, grandfather, husband, and Christian Man. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren, taking them on rides in his pickup truck and on his tractor. He was also an avid woodworker and enjoyed building different projects. He was an Insulator with local #87 for most of his life and his co-workers always said they enjoyed working with him and respected him greatly. He enjoyed camping in his younger days and would take his children on camping trips. He was a hard worker and showed his family how to work hard. Most of all he was a prankster and loved pulling jokes on people. On the day before going to see Jesus, the home health nurse was drawing blood and being Dad, pulled a prank on her as she was removing the needle from his arm and made her jump. He laughed and all in the room had a good laugh. We all love you Dad. Say hello to Jesus and Mom for us. See you soon.
